from I-95 North

Traveling North on I-95 take exit 16. Keep to the right lane on the exit ramp and turn right at light. Turn right again at next light onto Reed Street. Turn right again at the next light onto Front Street. Go thru the next light and the next seven stop signs. Continue as far as possible on Front Street then turn left onto Spruce Street. Travel one block on Spruce and turn left onto Second Street. David Mann Audio is on your right after crossing Pine Street.

from I-95 South

Traveling South on I-95 (keep to the left after passing under the Ben Franklin Bridge) take exit 16 and turn right at light. Turn right at the next light onto Christian Street and right again at stop sign onto Front Street. Go thru seven stop signs and, continue as far as possible on Front Street then turn left onto Spruce Street. Travel one block on Spruce and turn left onto Second Street. David Mann Audio is on your right after crossing Pine Street.

from the Walt Whitman Bridge (I-76 West)

Join I-95 North and follow directions above.

from the Ben Franklin Bridge (I-676 West)

Keep in the right lane and make a "hairpin" right turn at a poorly marked exit about 50 yards beyond the bridge rail. This is a tight 270° turn and will take you down under the bridge to Fourth Street. Turn right and follow Fourth Street eight blocks (seven traffic lights) to Pine Street. Turn left on Pine and go two blocks to Second Street. Turn right onto Second Street and David Mann Audio is on your right.

from I-676 East (Vine Street Expressway)

Exit at Sixth Street (currently, the signs do not mention Sixth Street, use the Ben Franklin Bridge exit), keep to the right on the exit ramp and follow Sixth Street for eight blocks (seven traffic lights) to Pine Street. Turn left and follow Pine to Second Street. Turn right on to Second Street and David Mann Audio is on your right.

An alternate route that is a bit farther, but often avoids congestion -- continue across town to I-95 South. Stay in the left lane on I-95, take the first exit and follow the directions above.

SEPTA #40 Bus

West of the Schulkill River the #40 SEPTA Bus runs on Spruce Street through the University of Pennsylvania campus. East of the Schulkill the #40 uses South Street when traveling East and Lombard Street traveling West. During busy peak periods (weekend evenings) the Eastbound #40 may switch from South Street to Pine Street after crossing Broad Street. The East end of the #40 route ends at Second and Lombard Streets, almost at our door. David Mann Audio is on your left as you walk North on Second Street.

SEPTA Frankford Elevated, #21 or #42 Bus

Although you will have to walk a few blocks South on Second Street (2nd Street runs One Way South), you can also take the SEPTA Market-Frankford Line Elevated/Subway train or the #21 or #42 Bus, to Second Street. David Mann Audio is on your right after crossing Pine Street.

Taxi Service

Ask to be driven to "Second and Pine". David Mann Audio is on Second Street, a few doors South of Pine Street. This is the "NewMarket" area, so named in the early 1800's when The Shambles was established as an open air market. The observant traveler will recognize bits and pieces of the area used as a backdrop for numerous movies and fashion photo shoots.

For your return trip, walk right to Lombard Street after leaving David Mann. Second and Lombard Streets is a major cab stop. Your cab is almost always waiting at the corner. If not, it will be there in a minute or two.
